I've had a dentist & two dental assistants play around in my mouth without realizing my tongue was split It was retracted in the back of my mouth while they performed their procedures. First time i've seen tongue splitting was on a tv show called boston public, a bunch of students were brought to the principal's office for having their tongue split but it was nowhere near this at all.
