I am ileana, a latina lactation consultant who breastfed my three children while managing a career
I started breastfeeding latinas after obtaining my clc in 2014, driven by my desire to make a difference in my community Later, after earning my ibclc in 2017, i created programs to support families across the work My passion for this work stems from my struggles to access lactation support. Latinas often experience higher rates of maternal and infant mortality, lower rates of breastfeeding initiation and continuation, and less access to quality prenatal and postpartum care These disparities highlight the urgent need for improved access to healthcare resources and lactation support for latinas. 658 likes, tiktok video from saxon (@crux_lord)
